I started thrifting myself and over the past year of me going to my local Value Villages constantly, my knowledge of what to look for has expanded. One specific aspect to watch out for are clothing tags/labels. Notable brands such as Nike, Adidas, Champion, Levis, etc. all have a variety of tags that can date when that correlating clothing piece was made.
